Writing Revenge and Smash fanfic today. Not sure why I’m suddenly inspired in those fandoms but I am!

036. everything quinn said at the piano before regionals was on purpose

canonofmine:

She knew, even then, that if Rachel was with Finn, Rachel would never get out of Lima. Quinn wasn’t able to admit to herself why she wanted that to happen to badly. Part of her honestly thought that maybe it was because she was holding on to that life that she told Rachel about, the one where Quinn and Finn live in Lima forever as this happy little couple. But if that was it, she wouldn’t have pushed Rachel so hard. She wouldn’t have talked about never being able to get it right, or needing more. No, she said all of that because she understood Mr. Schue’s lesson; Rachel needed to know pain. What’s more painful than having your love and your dreams ripped away by the same girl?

Maybe realizing, far too late, that you’re in love with the one person that you’ve spent the last three years of your life terrorizing. Maybe.

(You know the scene, the “You know how this story ends?” Faberry by the piano in Original Song)

four man army || sneak peek

title: four man army
fandom:
vampire diaries
character/pairing:
elijah/elena, klaus/rebekah
summary: Elijah returns to Mystic Falls after the decade dance to protect Elena. Instead, he winds up with Elena, Klaus, and Rebekah on the ultimate hybrid making road trip, which would be a lot easier if they actually liked each other. Elejah. Klebekah.

Rebekah blunders into situations. She goes in whole heartedly and somehow manages to turn all of that strength against herself and take down everyone around her in the process. Re: the whole Stefan Salvatore in the 1920s situation. Or the decade dance. Or their entire time with their mother in the current century. It’s not Rebekah’s fault, per se; she just has no control over how poorly everything will turn out. No matter how strongly she likes to believe the opposite.

Nik’s kind of to blame. For everything. If he weren’t so judgmental and paranoid and homicidal, her life would have turned out much differently. She tells him as much from outside of his door. Tells him that hiding away inside of his fortress won’t change the fact that he spent the night yelling himself hoarse at the corpse of their mother.

He tells her, quite politely (and croakily), to go the hell away and leave him to plot in peace.

“Plot what, Nik? How to kill Esther yet again? How to get Caroline to love you? How to -“

His door swings open, and he’s there in all of his brooding, infuriated glory. “Enough, Rebekah!” he roars. He grimaces immediately after yelling, which only makes Rebekah smirk.

“Told you,” she gloats before walking around him into his room. She takes the moment of distraction to really observe her surroundings. He doesn’t let people in to his room often despite his open arms policy with the family.

The walls of his room are a dark green, kind of like the dense color of the trees in the forests - before all of the modern day humans hacked them down to eventually be turned into half sheets for their ridiculous vocabulary quizzes. (Oh, the fun of high school.) The floors are polished wood, much like the rest of the home. But there’s a lot more space in his room than in others. He’s dedicated part of it to pictures. No, paintings, she realizes. Very, very well done paintings of their family.

She spots herself in the present day, hair blowing in the wind on the football field of Mystic High. There’s Elijah from before their fight over Katerina. Kol in the same ridiculous get up he was daggered in. Finn on the day he met Sage and turned into a blubbering mess. And last but certainly not least, there’s Henrick, smiling and happy, with the ghost of shadows from the pain he would soon face. She glances back at all of the other pictures, looks closely. Each of them has a slight ghosting of color at what would kill them. The daggers through their hearts, some with holes bigger than others.

Curiously, Rebekah asks, “Exactly how many times have you daggered Elijah?”

Nik shrugs. “I’ve lost count. Maybe you should ask him.”

~~~
Really random sneak peek, but I just needed to post something since I’ve been writing it all day and it’s nearly five thousand words and I just wanted to say that it’s actually being written.
Beta Request.
I am in need/want of a beta. I don’t have too many grammatical or spelling errors. Mostly, I just want someone that I can show chapters to and get a real opinion back from. Sometimes, I get caught up in the right word and whether or not to have a good description and then I don’t post things. So, I want someone who can get my head out of my butt and push me to post things.
The more fandoms/pairings we have in common the better. Here’s a list of some pairings and stories I’m working on. If you’re interested, just reply or go to my ask. It’s really appreciated.
Once Upon a Time || Stable Queen, Regina-centric, Rumpelle, Mad (Anything), possible Swan Queen
Vampire Diaries || Elejah, Klebekah, Delena, Rebekol, Steroline, Klaroline, Team Original
Glee || Faberry, Pezberry, Klaine, Brittana, Kurtofsky
Castle || Caskett
So is anyone interested in being a beta for me?
My name on LJ and FF.net is Younger Dr. Grey, as in Lexie Grey. Just need to add that into the creys party.
once the magic settles || ouat, two
title: once the magic settles || ff.net link
chapters: 2 of ?
fandom: once upon a time
character/pairing: regina mills, emma swan, granny, red, grumpy, snow, charming
rating: t
word count: 2126
summary: “Because, like it or not - and I don’t - you’re part of this town, and you’re part of Henry’s life. And this isn’t a damn fairy tale. We don’t kill the bad guy.” ~ There’s a lot to be handled after the magic settles. S2 story.
author’s note: I’m surprised by the amount of attention this got. Surprised and also excited. I’m interested in seeing where this goes, and I’m glad that there’s people out there willing to go on this ride with me. We’ve got an entire summer to get through before our show returns. Hopefully, this makes it a little easier to swallow. Also, this chapter is seen through Emma’s eyes so the names aren’t as solid and stationary as they will be in chapters that are focused more on Regina. If it annoys you, let me know with a review. (Or if it doesn’t, really, I just like reviews. They make me feel like you guys actually want to stick it out with me here.)
once the magic settles, pt. ii
Regina literally walks into Granny’s with bells on. Granted the annoying little baubles are littered across the back of a dramatic looking cape, but they’re still bells. And that’s not even the real start of it. The normally formal and button up-ed mayor of Storybrooke looks like the embodiment of evil with a dress that hugs so tightly to her waist and torso that Emma can practically see every breath the brunette takes. The midnight blue fabric also makes it seem as if Regina’s just another part of the night that managed to slip into the diner before dawn made the whole world too bright for her.
Also, seriously, who plans a meeting for dawn? Why not say a time? Like say five minutes past ass crack?
035. william mckinley high’s class of 2012’s valedictorian is… michael robert chang!
And he slightly dances onto the stage, rolling through that the way he hopes they all roll through the rest of their lives. He used to be a football player, a pretty good one, and now he’s a dancer. He’s lucky enough to know what he wants to do, but not everyone does. That’s okay. They’re just finishing high school, and there is so much out there for them. He’s up here because he does a lot of work. Like, a lot. He might not be the obvious choice. Yet, he’s right where he belongs. They all are. They’re graduating! They’re going off and the next time they step foot onto this campus is going to be brag about their lives in five or ten years. So until then, keep rocking, McKinley.
author’s note: Two hours after the episode ends and I’ve got yet another multi-chap in the works. I’d say damn this show, but I honestly think this might be my favorite finale of the finale season. It’s right up there with Castle’s finale folks. That’s how serious I am. So, as I said above, this is my take on the second season. It’s up in the air right now and hopefully you like it as much as I’m starting to. This is pretty Regina centric, but the whole ensemble will be involved and can/will get their own chapters and scenes.
once the magic settles
The first one at her door is Emma, and it’s as if it was taken straight from Regina’s nightmare.
Emma stands in the doorway with a smirk, a sort of heavy, flustered, determined presence radiating off of her entire body. It makes Regina’s skin itch. She knows part of that is the familiar tingle of the magic beneath the surface. Part of her is dying to use it, to touch into what she has been stripped of for twenty-eight years. It would be easy enough. The curse is broken, so why shouldn’t she snap Emma’s pretty little neck right here and now?
Two hours after the episode ended and I’ve got a multi-chap in the works. My take on season two. Posting the first chapter now.
